Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Restaurant El Herreno. Las Palmas is the capital of Gran Canaria. In the older quarter of town (Vegueta) we found an old Restaurant which was founded by a man from El Hierro and is called El Herreno.
They serve the typical specialty: Patas de Cerdo. Very yummieee... We stood at the counter when a Canarian couple next to us talked to us and explained the history of the Restaurant. (The man said that he would work at the airport which is why he speeks several languages). The Canarian people are so nice and very open. The man behind the counter is cutting the pata de cerdo (pork meet).

Im Altstadtviertel (Vegueta) haben wir ein schönes altes Restaurant gefundet, das von einem Mann von El Hierro aufgebaut wurde. Das Restaurant heisst El Herreno. Dort gibt es die Spezialität Patas de Cerdo. Das schmeckt klasse... Wir standen an der Theke als uns ein Canarisches Pärchen ansprach und uns die Geschichte des Restaurants erzählte. (Der Mann sagte er arbeite am Flughafen und spreche daher verschiedene Sprachen). Die Menschen hier sind sehr nett und offen. Auf meiner Skizze schneidet der Mann hinter der Theke gerade Patas de Cerdo (Schweinefleisch).
