Over a very small bridge you reach the Island of Faro which is very close to the aiport. A beautiful long stretch of white sandy beach and a few cafés make it a good spot for a visit. As the airport is very close you can see planes come and go from a distance.
BTW there is an excellent exhibition of my Urban Sketcher friends in Albufeira in the Museu Municipal uphill directly over the tunnel. Dates and location below. This is a must if you are in the area.
Über eine sehr kleine, einspurige Brücke erreicht man die Insel vor Faro, die nahe am Flughafen liegt. Ein schöner langezogener Strand mit weissem Sand und einige nette Cafés machen die Insel zu einem Ort für einen Ausflug. Da der Flughafen nicht weit entfernt ist kann man Flugzeuge von weitem starten und landen sehen.
Übrigens läuft gerade eine excellente Ausstellung meiner Urban Sketcher Freunde in Albufeira im städtischen Museum direkt über dem Tunnel in der Stadtmitte. Daten und Ort im unteren Bild.
